The intention of the Annual Ms San Francisco Leather Titleholder Contest, is to create and maintain an event that celebrates our diverse & dynamic Greater San Francisco Bay Area leather/kink/fetish community; raise funds to support the work of relatively small non-profit organizations; continually embrace inclusion & diversity in our community, while learning & growing together.
Each year at the Ms. San Francisco Leather contest, an esteemed panel of judges selects a leatherwoman to represent our community. This representative is a leatherwoman who exemplifies the principles of honor, service and community commitment.
The first Ms San Francisco Leather contest was held in 1987 & was closely associated with International Ms Leather (IMsL) which was also held in San Francisco. The first Ms SFL Titleholder was Shadow Morton. The contest was owned & produced by Audrey Joseph. A titleholder was selected each year, through 1999 (The 1st Wave).
After a 10-year break, Ms San Francisco Leather’s 2nd Wave began in 2009, under new owners & producers, Liza & Jody (International Master/slave 2011). Liza & Jody held the annual contest from 2009 to 2017. The Contest was then passed to the current owner/producer, Daddy Sal Hopkins (SF Leather Pride Contingent Grand Marshal 2003).
Ms SFL has always had the focus of supporting leatherwomen & promoting community leadership in the San Francisco Bay Area Leather Community.
