Contest

admin @ 11:27 am

The judges are prominent members of the leather/fetish/kink community whom we feel best represent the ideals and character traits that we would like to see in our titleholder. Each represents a different portion of the local, national or international community. All exhibit the sense of citizenship, community work ethic and independent character that we feel makes a strong titleholder.

Each judge will give contestants a score up to the maximum amount in each category. These scores will then be averaged together to form their final score in each category. Final category scores for each contestant will be added together and the person with the highest total will be declared the winner.

Contest Categories:

Interview in Street/Casual Leather: (40 points) Contestants will be interviewed by the judging panel prior to the evening portions of the contest. These interviews will be closed to the public. Contestants will be judged on their ability to think on their feet, their knowledge of lifestyle related issues and history, and how they respond to the questions asked of them. The appropriate dress for this section is “street legal” leather.

Speech and Formal Wear: (25 points) Contestants will each be given 90 seconds to speak on a topic of their choice related to the Leather/BDSM/Fetish community. Contestants will be judged on their formal wear (what you would wear to a formal Leather event or banquet) as well as the delivery of their speech.

Fantasy: (20 points) Each contestant will be given 5 minutes to perform a fantasy on stage. Contestants will be scored on the creativity they use in the fantasy portion and how well they engage the audience.

On Stage Question and Cruise/Bar Wear: (15 points) Each contestant will randomly select one question to answer on stage. Questions will be submitted by the judges and emcee. The appropriate dress for this section is your sexy best.

Our M.C. this year is Miranda!

Miranda got into leather when mullets and Madonna first hit the scene.

Yeah, that long ago; Mullets, Madonna & Miranda... freakish coincidence?

I think not.

Not known for cautiously entering the water, she dove headfirst into the

community helping out at fundraisers around the bay area. In 1994 she hooked

up with Diana Ms. SF Leather 94, and they have been together ever since.

Prince sung out that it was "time to party like it's 1999" in 1996, the very

same year that she earned the title of Ms. Southbay San-Jose Leather...

again, coincidence?

Not likely.

During her title year (and for a decade thereafter), no one could get her to

leave the party. Event after event, she kept showing up like a bad penny.

Then she and Diana married (once unofficially, once at city hall) and they

bought a house- a fixer-upper, a HUGE old Victorian fixer-upper, and no

one has heard from her since...

until now.
